Policeman’s gunshots penetrate your body as if target on a range. 

​Today 7 years since I was shot five times by Pembroke Pines police in Florida, in coma for six weeks and solitary confinement for almost 6 months
Work hard on my motoring skills steadily coming along
Walking is difficult constant pain and weak muscles make struggle real
Thursday I walked 2 blocks on road for first time alone.
 
Difficult walk alone on rugged road surface
Every ten steps seem as if going fall on face
No matter how slow the pace
Travelled and prayed no haste.
 
Gradient was unable to overcome
Four black girls watched as if I was dumb
White lady saw my debacle
Stopped looked I asked can I use your arm to go over obstacle.
 
Gracious in her consent
Choose best route to my content
Middle road light changed to green
Motorists toot horn ever so mean.
 
Calmly she whispered do not hurry
Let them wait do not fall and be sorry
Crossed safely I said, “Thank you, My Lady appreciate your help,”
She said, “If you had not asked I would have held your hand.”​
