The masses gather to listen to the message of the pope
You hope they understand the sermon
And doesn’t take it for a joke
Time to put away drugs, stop using dope
Put your trust in the Almighty so you can cope
This new morn is time of hope
For men and women who met the pope
Free from food ration, and starvation
Many have forgotten
The sacrifice Christ made on the cross for our salvation
Time to pick up the pieces, time to start anew
Time to get ready for the revelation
Everybody is happy now he is here
When he leaves will you still care?

Or will you go back to living in fear
